Thanksgiving is here and I cannot wait to eat my most favorite food – yams (with marshmallows and brown sugar on top of course). I’m headed to Salt Lake for a few days and will be spending my night tonight packing up my holiday looks (sadly in a carry-on). I was thinking about what I was going to take and decided to pull together some inspiration and share it with you!
Overall, I tend to overdress. But…why not look your best when you’re going to see family and friends? However, I’ve pulled together some casual options as well because you never know how you’re going to feel when you wake up!
- I LOVE this simple black and white collared dress. It’s a little a la pilgrim, no? It’s girly but still gives you space so you feel comfortable all day long. Shop a similar look here, a glitzy version here or a long sleeve version here (on sale).
- If you know me you know my obsession with clothing that has feathers on it. I even went so far as to make my own feather skirt when I couldn’t find one. See the post here. I love this look because the oversized sweater is casual and comfortable and the feather skirt takes it up a notch! I love this one and this more affordable option.
- Dress topped with a fur dress? One of my all time favorite combos. I sometimes don’t know why people say throwing on a dress is so fancy. I find it to be one of the easiest things to wear. Running late? Throw on a dress. Feeling not so good about what I’ve eaten? Throw on a dress. This (on sale!) is one of my favorites! Wear it with this and you’re good to go!
- All of these looks have America’s favorite clothing item: denim. I once swore to never wear skinny jeans…probably went out and bought them the next day. I have a few favorites that I’ve been dying to add to my closet including these, these and these. I think if you throw on a cozy sweater like this, a warm scarf like this and these heels, you’ve got the perfect (cozy) Thanksgiving look.
Whether you’re overdressing or keeping it casual, I hope you have a fabulous holiday!
